 The
Zheng violin plays easily. The
more I play it the more mellow and warm the sound becomes. It is
sounding much less like a “modern” instrument.
The
Zheng violin offers excellent value for the money and compared to
other modern instruments.

 I
was recently pleased to try out with several of my students 4 violins
from the Zheng Quan studio. I was immediately impressed by the exceptional
quality of workmanship and materials used in making the instruments.
Each violin projected very well in our large concert hall; and I
observed that in addition to possessing a big sound the instruments
had a range of color and subtlety and an individual voice which
one doesn’t normally find in violins of this price range.
In my opinion the overall quality of the violins was as good or
better than new instruments I have tried at four to five times the
